Delete Your Account

You can delete your Statlete account and everything we hold at any time. Here are both ways to do it.

From Inside the App — Fastest

If you still have the app installed and can sign in, do it here. It takes effect immediately and you get confirmation on screen.

  1. Open Statlete and go to your profile.
  2. Choose Delete account.
  3. Confirm your password. We ask because deletion is permanent and we want to be sure it is you.

That is it. There is no waiting period and no confirmation email to chase.

From Here — If You Cannot Use the App

If you have already uninstalled the app, lost access to your account, or would simply rather we did it, email us and we will delete it for you.

Email Us to Delete Your Account

Because deletion is permanent, we confirm every request before we act on it. Once you email us, we will send a short confirmation code to the email address on the account. Reply with that code and we will delete everything.

We will never delete an account on an emailed request alone. Anyone can put an address on a message, and a deleted account cannot be brought back — the code only ever reaches the real inbox, which is what tells us the request is yours. If you no longer have access to that address, say so when you write to us; we will need to establish that the account is yours some other way first, and nothing is deleted until we have.

We action these within 30 days, and usually far sooner. We will email you once it is done.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your email address and password
  • Your handle
  • Your favourite leagues and teams
  • Your home market, if you chose one
  • Your results — every score, every answer breakdown, every streak
  • Your weekly leaderboard entries
  • Your friend connections

What Is Kept, and for How Long

Three things outlive the deletion. None of them can identify you.

  • Aggregate audience counts — totals like how many players follow a given league. These have never contained any account identifier, and they are rebuilt nightly, so you drop out of them within 24 hours.
  • Server logs containing your account identifier, held by Google Cloud under its retention settings rather than ours.
  • Anything we are legally required to keep, for as long as we are required to keep it.

Anything Apple or Google hold about your app store account is separate from this and outside our control — delete that with them.

This Is Permanent

Once your account is gone we cannot restore your scores, your streak or your friend connections, and signing up again starts you from zero with a new account. If you just want a break, you can leave the app installed and not play — nothing expires, and your streak is the only thing that lapses.
